Leaders in Sustainable Architectural Designs

We just received news that BUILD Magazine is recognizing SP Designs Ltd. in their upcoming 2022 Design & Build Awards!

We have been awarded the title Leaders in Sustainable Architectural Designs, 2022 - Colorado Springs

Based in Staffordshire, England, “BUILD is a digital publication which focuses on the industries of architecture, interior design, and construction. We’re published quarterly, have been running since 2015, and have an audience of 110,000 worldwide. In addition to the features, interviews, and reviews we publish, we also run a series of prestigious award programs, one being the Design & Build Awards. We select businesses and individuals based on their achievements and advancements throughout the year. Instead of being nomination/submission based, we prefer to base our choices on merit alone.” (BUILD, What is BUILD?).

It is truly an honor to be recognized by BUILD Magazine in this way!

Celebrating 2 Years!

This past week, on 18 November, SP Designs celebrated our second year in business! We’ve made new friends, designed some fun interiors, and created plans for new residential homes. We even saw completion of construction on two of our residential architectural plans in a brand new neighborhood in Colorado Springs! We are extremely grateful to our amazing clients for allowing us the opportunity to help you meet your interior and architectural dreams - we love and appreciate you! To many years to come!

From Concept to Reality

Habitat for Humanity is currently building several of our home designs in Colorado Springs. With three of our models currently in progress, Habitat for Humanity held a ground blessing ceremony on April 24 for two more of our designs that will be built in a joint effort with community partners. The full story of the ground blessing, and the families receiving these homes, can be accessed at CORRECTED: Two Colorado Springs families will soon have new homes thanks to a Habitat and Thrivent partnership | Woodmen Edition | gazette.com

Celebrating Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity's Ground Blessing of The Ridge at Sand Creek

We had the opportunity to attend the Ground Blessing for a new Habitat for Humanity development this past week. Though cold and windy, the ceremony was a beautiful prelude to the building of a new community. The Ridge at Sand Creek is a 30 lot venture that will include our home designs! It has been a true pleasure to partner with the Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity this past year to enable families to realize their dreams of home ownership.

A HAPPY DAY

It was a happy day yesterday, for both SP Designs and Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity, as we celebrated the completion of two sets of duplex homes, constructed utilizing Shannon’s architectural design contributions. Colorado Springs Mayor, John Suthers, addressed those in attendance at the dedication, held on site at Dale Street, while four families received the keys to their new homes.

MOVERS AND SHAKERS

Our very own Shannon Baumgartner was elected to the board of directors of Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity in October of this year!  As such, the local newspaper just published an article on her as a “mover and shaker”.
