SP Designs began with a single sketch — drawn by hand on the back of a napkin. That early design would become the Baumgartner Estate, and eventually, the blueprint for a full-service building design company grounded in thoughtfulness, technical rigor, and care for how people experience space.
Since 2019, SP Designs has grown into a strategic partner for clients across Colorado and beyond. Today, we support custom estates, adaptive reuse, residential developments, and high-performance renovations, offering building and interior design help through every step of the journey.

Meet Shannon Baumgartner
Shannon Baumgartner is a senior building designer with a background in both architectural planning and interior design. Her career has been shaped by hands-on experience, international exposure, and deep respect for how structures shape everyday life.
While completing her degree, Shannon worked alongside award-winning firms and traveled across Europe, studying timeless principles of architecture and design. She founded SP Designs to bridge the gap between form and function, and to deliver residential building design that honors how people truly live.
Today, Shannon is committed to giving back. She continues to design with purpose and precision, while giving back through her leadership with Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity. Her work has been formally recognized by the Mayor of Colorado Springs for its impact and innovation, and she was also recognized by Voyage Denver for her work shaping intentional residential architecture across Colorado.
Thanks to Shannon’s innovative approach and stellar achievements, SP Designs has since been recognized both locally and nationally. In 2022, the firm was named a Leader in Sustainable Architectural Design and was also featured in Build Review’s Global 100 for its commitment to thoughtful, site-driven design.
